Syrische vluchtelingen verlangen naar vrede en licht

‘My parents call me Salaam, Peace. This is what we long for and hope for in Baladna, our country Syria. After four months of roaming throughout southern Syria, moving from house to house our family finally fled to Jordan. As refugees we are not allowed to work here. We get our food by changing special vouchers at the local store. In order to keep busy my father started to refurbish an old barn that happened to stand next to our tent where we are able to find a warm shelter when the winter cold will come. Now the owner is requesting rent. The WakaWaka lamp provides us with light for free. I recharge the lamp every day by putting it right into the sunlight.’
