Dutch national Stop Ebola week
While we still have a few weeks of nice weather ahead of us, a camping trip should definitely be on your agenda. It’s the perfect moment to step away from daily routines, get some fresh air, and recharge in nature. Studies show that spending time outdoors improves both your mental and physical state, reduces stress, boosts your mood, and well, simply perks you up!
In the context of the national Dutch Stop Ebola week, WakaWaka received a request from Giro555 and the cooperating aid organizations of providing Ebola health workers with light, power and communciation. Together with partners Vodafone, the People’s Postcode Lottery, EY and DLL Group, WakaWaka delivers 2000 WakaWaka Powers and 1100 USB radio’s for the purpose of education and light in West Africa.
The solar lamps and chargers will be given to health workers, ebola clinics and will be part of ebola prevention kits which are given to families in the ebola hit ereas.
