First WakaWaka's to Haiti

Great news! Today the first WakaWaka’s were already shipped to Haiti, some people really can´t wait. The lamps will be donated to factory workers of ‘Maxima SA’ as a Christmas gift.  More than a thousand will go to several schools in Haiti.

Thanks to the Dutch foundation Projecthulp Haiti with almost 20 years of experience with providing structural aid to Haiti, these donations are made possible.

The Maxima SA factory specializes in constructing elements that are used to produce wooden prefab houses. These are then built to provide a real home for Haitians that are still living in tents or derilict housing.

Foundation Naar School Haiti runs several schools in Haiti with more than 1000 students in total. This foundation, founded in 1998, provides education, housing and medical care for children in need.

We are very thankful that ‘Projecthulp Haiti’, ‘Maxima SA’ and ‘Naar School Haiti’ made it possible to bring the light to Haiti. Merry Christmas!
