The villages of Futung and Palubari were heavily affected by the earthquake of April 25th 2015. More than 8000 people were killded and many more were injured. Many families lost their homes and the provision of electricity is irregular. The WakaWakas provide the people with light during the regular blackouts (which can last up to 18 hours).
