IOM Global Solar Lanterns Initiative

Sol­ar lights have been dis­trib­uted amongst child sur­viv­ors of traf­fick­ing in Ghana. The ma­jor­ity ot them was res­cued in 2011 and re­ceived sup­port from the In­ter­na­tion­al Or­gan­iz­a­tion for Mi­gra­tion in Ghana. The lights help the chil­dren, who are cur­rently re­hab­il­it­ated and en­rolled in schools, to do home­work des­pite the reg­u­lar power cuts that oc­cur throughout the coun­try.
