1704 Lights were donated in the districts of Lofa, Bomi/Cape Mount and Nimba in order to light up the lives of girls in Liberia. The ebola epidemic, which began in 2014, amplified inequalites between boys and girls. The lights have been distributed amongst ‘listening groups’ which are part of Plan’s project to work on education and development. The Lights enable girls to do homework, to (learn how to) read.
