While Zimbabwe was already experiencing a serious humanitarian crisis, the Eastern part of the country got hit by cyclone Idai in March 2019, plunging whole communities into desolation. Thanks to EnergyNet funding, WakaWaka has sent solar-powered lights and chargers to restore their basic right of access to power. The WakaWaka’s have been distributed by Miracle Mission Trust Zimbabwe in Chimanimani district.
