CES 2015

While we still have a few weeks of nice weather ahead of us, a camping trip should definitely be on your agenda. It’s the perfect moment to step away from daily routines, get some fresh air, and recharge in nature. Studies show that spending time outdoors improves both your mental and physical state, reduces stress, boosts your mood, and well, simply perks you up!

You can’t fight Ebola in the dark. WakaWaka invites all CES attendees to help fight Ebola with #WakaWakaLIVE a crowd-funding event on the CES floor. WakaWaka is asking the consumer electronics industry to do what it does best and help bring light and power to health workers, first responders, and families fighting Ebola in West Africa.

Over 90% of people in Liberia and Sierra Leone don’t have access to electricity. When the sun goes down they are enveloped in darkness. International CES is the global stage for technologies that improve people’s lives everyday. The consumer electronics industry runs on power. But what happens when you don’t have the luxury of a light switch or an outlet and you’re in the middle of the fight against Ebola?

As a crowd-funding innovator, WakaWaka launches #WakaWakaLIVE, a crowd-funding event on the CES show floor. International CES attendees can donate solar powered lights and chargers to emergency relief organizations on the frontlines in Liberia and Sierra Leone by

10,000 WakaWakas have already been donated to organizations leading the fight against Ebola in West Africa. WakaWakas are included in prevention kits containing essential prevention supplies to help courageous health workers, first-responders, and families fighting Ebola.

The light at the end of this dark tunnel: when the Ebola crisis is resolved, the WakaWakas donated will still be there as an essential tool for the people in West Africa to help build resiliency against the next challenge.

We believe that everyone, regardless of age, position, or predicament, has the ability to spark positive change. We are all #AgentsOfLight
