Distribution Project in Uganda
As part of our latest distribution project in Uganda, Habitat for Humanity partnered with WakaWaka to provide solar-powered lights to communities with limited access to electricity. In areas where families often rely on kerosene lamps or candles, these lights offer a safe and reliable source of energy.
The distribution focused on supporting women, young people and families with school-aged children, enabling them to work, study and manage daily life after dark. By involving entire communities, the project strengthens safety, health and economic opportunities. In 2025, 1,300 people were supported with a WakaWaka Light, helping build brighter and more sustainable futures.
