Disaster Risk and Reduction and Response programme: lighting solutions for flood affected households in Malawi
In Chikwawa and Mulanje Districts, Malawi, hardly hit by cyclone Idai in March 2019, households lost everything, including their lighting solutions, and have been displaced to camps for months. Habitat for Humanity targeted 3000 beneficiaries to distribute WakaWaka’s to, as an emergency lighting solution and for them to be in a safer living environment.
