Local Ocean Trust

Loc­al Ocean Trust (LOT) is a private not for profit or­gan­isa­tion comit­ted to the con­ser­va­tion and pro­tec­tion of spe­cial mar­ine areas and en­dangered spe­cies. It en­cour­ages the sus­tain­able use and man­age­ment of mar­ine re­sources for fu­ture gen­er­a­tions and Kenya’s mar­ine her­it­age through em­power­ment, edu­ca­tion and cam­paign­ing. Loc­al Ocean Trust has one WakaWaka Power and one WakaWaka Base 10 in use, which fa­cil­it­ates the work of the trust dur­ing black­outs.
